Just a reminder that we will be in school tomorrow as we canceled the rest of the virtual days listed on the calendar. Have a blessed evening.

If you have a quarantined student and need to place an order for your child’s school pictures you may call the office between 8-3 and pay by phone or you may come by and call and someone will meet you out front.

If you wish to order your child/children's school pictures please send the order form with payment by Friday, 9/25/2020. They did not take a class group photo so please do not include that into your payment amount. If your child did not take pictures this time they can participate in retakes on 10/21/2020.

At the beginning of the school year we handed out to each student a green Stuart Hornet mask. We have these masks for sale in the office if you would like to purchase an extra one for your student or for yourself. The masks are $4.00 to purchase. We have these in adult and youth size.

Due to a positive COVID-19 test on a 4th grade student, we will have to quarantine our 4th grade class and our 3rd grade girls as they would have been in close contact during PE. There is no issue with any others as this student doesn't ride a bus and no one else would have been exposed. Also, if your 3rd grade girl or 4th grade student has siblings, please keep a close eye on them and if they have any symptoms, please keep them home and let us know in the office. Lessons for the next 2 weeks for the quarantined students will be online. All facilities have been sanitized.

With the feedback we received after our virtual day last Friday, we will be canceling the rest of the scheduled virtual days and students will be in class as usual. Thank you for your comments and cooperation on our virtual test day. We feel confident that we will be able to teach lessons virtually if we are forced to close due to the pandemic.

We have good news! As you may have heard, Oklahoma was recently approved to operate the Pandemic Electronic Benefits Transfer (P-EBT) program. P-EBT replaces lost free or reduced-price school meal benefits due to school closures this spring. Families who were certified for free or reduced-price lunch and families in schools or districts that provided no-cost meals to all students will receive $250 in benefits per eligible child. Though families are not required to apply to receive P-EBT, outreach efforts are vitally important to ensure Oklahoma families are aware of this new program. Families will receive benefits one of two ways: SNAP and other current EBT households will have benefits automatically loaded onto their existing EBT card; or Non-SNAP/EBT households will receive a new EBT card automatically mailed to their home address. The envelope may not clearly indicate the contents. We created a web page (www.hungerfreeok.org/pebt) to serve as a point for information on this program. The page includes an overview of the program, frequently asked questions, and sample outreach text in English, Spanish, Burmese, and Zomi for your organization to use to help spread the word. Here are some links to the flyers: https://5il.co/kzae https://5il.co/kzaf https://5il.co/kzag

Good morning! Please start watching your mail for an EBT food card that the state of Oklahoma has granted to each child at Stuart school, since we feed all children for free. In the past, only children who qualified for free or reduced meals qualified for this benefit. We received the information this morning and are putting it on our school website and Facebook page. The card will probably come mailed in your child's name and be in a plain looking envelope. There are instructions included that will tell you how to activate the card. If you do not receive one for each child, use the information on the website to contact the state. Hope you have a blessed day!

Just a reminder that tomorrow is a virtual day. Students will be home learning online. Teachers of Lower elementary students have sent notes or messages to parents as to how they will conduct class. We encourage all students grades 6-12 to log on at 8:00 a.m. Also, all students are bringing breakfast and lunch for tomorrow home with them today. There are items that need refrigerated so please check with your child and put those items in the refrigerator. Please remember that tomorrow is a test day for our online learning. We know there will be issues and ask you to Help us by contacting us with problems you are having. Thank you and have a blessed day.

Parents, we are sending home economically disadvantaged forms for all students for whom we do not have one on file. It is imperative that we get those returned by Monday so we can continue to feed all students for free. Again, if your child has this form with them today, we do not have one for you on file. The information in them is kept confidential. Thank you for helping us with this matter. Have a blessed day!
