Due to the high number of Students and Staff who are ill, we will be closing school the next two days to disinfect the school and allow those who are sick time to recover and hopefully stop the spread of whatever is attacking us. Many have tested positive with Flu-A, Flu-B, or strep. It seems to start with a headache, nausea, and fever. Please wash any blankets or outerwear your child may have had at school. Hopefully it will run its course and the 4 day break will allow us to disinfect the building. Since this outbreak has mainly affected our elementary and not our upper grades, the Junior High Basketball games this week are cancelled, but the high school basketball games will go on as scheduled at this time. If any changes arise, we will send another notification.

Sophomores will have interviews with a Kiamichi Career Tech Counselor tomorrow. They will be held on our campus. Please remind them to dress nice and remember to be polite and have good eye contact and body language when talking with her.

After seeing the latest weather data, we will be closing Thursday and Friday for snow days as it is predicted to begin snowing earlier tomorrow. Kids stay safe and have fun in the snow!

First semester report cards were handed out to all students today and are also available in your child's online grade book.

The Emergency Management Service projects snow of 2-4 inches for our area beginning tomorrow around 9am and ending by noon on Friday, with accumulation of up to an inch by 4pm Thursday and snow increasing through the evening and over night. At this time, we plan to have school as normal tomorrow. There could be a possibility of an early release time if the snow starts accumulating more and earlier than predicted tomorrow. We will keep you informed if anything changes. If we have to dismiss early tomorrow or snow out on Friday, we will just have a snow day with no work sent home.

Senior Parents and Guardians, this is a reminder that our Senior FAFSA submission day is this Wednesday, January 8th beginning at noon. All of our seniors created a Federal FSAID at school last month and all their parents and guardians were required to have their FSAID's created and ready to use Wednesday to finalize their students applications. Instructions about creating a FSAID can be found at studentaid.gov. Opt-out forms are available at school but must be picked up by a parent or guardian. It is a now state law that every Senior must complete a FAFSA application or submit an opt-out form. If you have any questions please contact Mrs. Blasengame at school.

Reminder that Lamberts Farm and Ranch and Stuart Farm and Ranch are closed tomorrow and Wednesday. Please plan accordingly and don't run out of feed.

Check out the dress-up days next week!!

On Monday, December 9th, your senior created their FAFSA account and requested their FSAID. All seniors must complete this step before they can submit their FAFSA in January. Each parent who lives in the home with the senior must also create a FAFSA account in order to receive a FSAID to sign their child's financial aid application. Please visit studentaid.gov and create your parental account before the end of December so your child will be ready to submit their financial aid application in January. If you have any questions concerning this process you can contact Mrs. Blasengame.
